I helped a PhpWiki user/operator with the hairy process of embedding an image file (which requires the use of "references"). This reminded me of a small change I was thinking of some time ago and I want everyone's feedback before I put it in place: Raw URLs do not get embedded: http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/png.png Named URLs do not get embedded: [Check out this great art|http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/png.png] But unnamed, bracketed image links do: [http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/png.png] Does anyone see any obvious flaws to this? Would you rather introduce a new construct, which might be more intuitive, like: {http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/png.png} ? The latter approach means that the use of [] is consistent. sw ...............................ooo0000ooo.................................
