If something new is broken in CVS I usually post a message to this list.

The problems in current CVS also exist in earlier releases.
The question is how long back?

The problems mostly concern mysql installations with --memory-limit and
a large number of pages (about > 400).

We also started experimenting with database improvements lately.
First ADODB and if this works stable, it'll get ported to PearDB also.

Aah, just a guess:
Try DEBUG = 1 in config.ini

Sorry. It really should be DEBUG independent now, since it works ok. --
