The 1.2 stable stream has had some cleanup and security fixes recently.
The 1.3 development stream was under heavy development and is now (as far
as I can tell) in stabilisation / bug fix mode with a view to release
1.3.11 soonish. After that there may be one or more development stream
releases, leading to a new stable 1.4 release.
