Just another data point:

I, too, primarily use Galeon, and have experienced
no problems with compressed garbage.  Currently
running PHP 4.1.2 (Redhat).  But have had no problems
on, e.g., the SourceForge wikis either...

Does anyone know the details of the problems PHP
ob_gzhandler() was having?
