If two people edit a page the first one to save the page wins.
The second one gets a "page updated meanwhile - please redo your edits."
Just test it out yourself. Edit SandBox, edit it again in another window.
Save first window, save second window.
I don't like locking a page. My public wiki at senseis.xmp.net gets=20
mirrored by "wget" maybe once a week (I don't know how to prevent that). =

I'd lock pages for e.g. 30 minutes then essentially a wget would lock up=20
the whole wiki for 30 minutes or more.
Other than that there's a real "lock page" which prevents any edits excep=
t=20
for admins.
