Dan, I have seen the same behavior when a page has an inline image (like this: [http://someurl.to/a/picture.jpg] ) in the wiki text on my wiki. I don't know if my problem is related, but when I find a page that does what you describe, I am still able to go to the edit page, and remove the inline image by adding edit to the url. http://dan.martins.wiki/index.php/HomePage?action=edit Good luck, -Will Dan Martin wrote: > I have seen this question raised in forums but have yet seen no good > answer. I have seen this question raised in forums but have yet seen no good answer. I upgraded to Fedora 5, which upgraded me to Apache 2.2.2 and libphp 5.1.4. Now I get a totally blank page when trying to load index.php. configurator.php and passencrypt.php load and show just fine. Viewing the source of the page shows nothing, not even a set of <html> tags. It behaves the same whether being viewed from IE or Firefox. I upgraded to phpwiki 1.3.12p3 but no change. |

Hi All, A newbie question: A little background first: The admin person who maintained the wiki server left the company beginning of this year, and did not leave any documentation for this server. My manager asked me to do the wiki server upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3.12p3. Following the UPGRADE note from the package, I am trying to do a zip dump of the 1.2 wiki in order to migrate to the new 1.3. Executing http://path.to.your/wiki/admin.php?PhpWikiAdministration It prompts me the admin's username and password. What configuration file I can find out the admin's name and pw? And how to reset it? Any help would be much appreciated. Mark. |

i need to change some lines of code from a wiki page during runtime with a plugin with $page = $dbi->getPage($pagename); $current = $page->getCurrentRevision(); $content = $current->getContent(); i do get the content of the page now i like to read every line from the $content und if something matches i will chnage the line and write it back to be viewed then. For example I do have a special sign on the page like ## i will replace it with other code. foreach ($content as $line) { If (substr($line,0,2) == "##") { $line = $newtext . substr($line,2) } } How to write the new $line instead the original $line Stefan |

Hello, I have been trying to get phpwiki to work but no success yet. The browser prints the following message (with debug set to '1' in config.ini): Fatal Error: lib/FileFinder.php:191: Error[256]: /tmp: file not found lib/FileFinder.php:191: Error[256]: /tmp: file not found I have been doing a search in the config.ini and replaced all the strings containing /tmp to something else (a relative path to a /tmp directory I made within my webroot). Anyone who can give me a push in the right direction? Regards, --Robert |

I have looked in the wiki folder for a folder named config, but I can't find it. I have also looked in the other folders for a file named config.ini, but I can't seem to find that either. I am having the same problem except that I found the config.php file and made the changes and get the same result. Someone in another forum mentioned encrypted passwords, but didn't give any advice. I don't see anything that looks like it's encrypting anything...but this is not suprizing as I am a PHP Ultra-Newbie... 8-) -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/PhpWiki-Administration-Problems-tf1874913.html#a5351946 Sent from the phpwiki-talk forum at Nabble.com. |

Maybe you have encrypted passwords set to true. If so, you need to use encryptpass.php (I think that's the name) to make yourself an encrypted one. Reini, I edited the admin.php and entered an admin username and password, but I still get the same message: "You entered an invalid login or password." I entered the admin username after "$wikiadmin" and I entered the password after "$adminpasswd". Have I done this correctly? Started playing with phpwiki this weekend. For the most part, things have gone smoothly... however I can't seem to make PostgreSQL authentication work. The "select if" syntax is invalid in postgres, so I tried this: DBAUTH_AUTH_CHECK = "SELECT userid AS ok FROM users WHERE userid='$userid' and passwd='$password'"; However, that always returns "Invalid password." How can I troubleshoot this? What kind of SQL phraseology should I be using? -Yanek. |

Hello, According to config-dist.ini, you can set USER_AUTH_ORDER = File AUTH_USER_FILE = /my/pass/file and you will manage /my/pass/file with htpasswd tool shipped with apache. Is this what you're looking for ? -- Manuel |

Dear Sirs, Having set ALLOW_ANON_USER true, ALLOW_ANON_EDIT false, ALLOW_BOGO_LOGIN false and ALLOW_USER_PASSWORDS true, I am seeking a way to let anonymous people read my wiki, but only let the users that I have added to be able to write in the wiki. SO, there are no issues with ALLOW_ANON_USER, ALLOW_ANON_EDIT and ALLOW_USER_PASSWORDS, but ALLOW_BOGO_LOGIN is where the problem starts. Now, if i *do* allow bogo logins, then I'm just opening my wiki to random attack from random users, who can register as they like. Unlike popular wikis with lots of users, vandalism here will not be detected quickly, so I'd rather not have it all. On the other hand, when I disable bogo logins, I just *can't* find how to add users manually for the life of me. (I'm using a flatfile db by the way) I've read the FAQ and I must admit it's been pretty unhelpful. Quoth the FAQ [1] , "New users are usually added automatically when loggin in, unless the wiki is configured to disallow self-registration. (DbAuth or HttpAuth)". Well, gee Sir, am I stuck with no other users than the admin now? Earlier, I mentioned that upload was not working in my version of phpwiki. A '/' was being left out of the path, so that test.png gets uploaded to uploadstest.png instead of uploads/test.png. So here's a simple fix. Not sure if it's the best one or even whether anyone else was having this problem, but it at least works for us: rcs_id('$Id: UpLoad.php,v 1.19 2005/04/11 19:40:15 rurban Exp $'); > diff -C2 UpLoad.php UpLoad.php~ *** UpLoad.php Mon Jul 3 23:05:28 2006 --- UpLoad.php~ Sun Sep 11 14:51:29 2005 *************** *** 99,103 **** extract($args); ! $file_dir = getUploadFilePath().'/'; //$url_prefix = SERVER_NAME . This was something I observed a while back, and forgot about and so never resolved. If I edit a page, and put in a URL to an image, (jpg, gif, or png) and save save the edit. The URL gets linkified and is clickable and the image is displayed. However if I edit the page and put in a URL to an image in Brackets [] and save the edit, all I get is a white screen (empty page). The edit does not get saved, because If I refresh the page again, I get the page as it was prior to the edit. Other pages, which I had entered in-line images in the past, prior to some long ago upgrade, (http://www.k2wrpg.org/wiki/index.php/UserGuideEditorTileset) will render blank pages. Visiting an Edit URL does work, (http://www.k2wrpg.org/wiki/index.php/UserGuideEditorTileset?action=edit) but with the in-line image URLs in place, it can not be saved. Once the in-line image URL is removed, the page can be saved and rendered again. Feel Free to visit my sandbox and see this for yourselves. http://www.k2wrpg.org/wiki/index.php/SandBox I didn't get lucky with google or the mailing list archives.... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, -William |

Woo ! You made a lot of digging. Unfortunatly I cannot help you much since I never relied on a AD and I don't use group feature of phpwiki yet. What I've heard about AD when I was developing an LDAP connexion for another tool is: * group usage of AD is a nightmare (ie. if your soft is not tested and validated with AD, it will probably not work out of the box). Note: other ldap server does not seem to be case sensitive in LDAP queries. -- Manuel |
