But be sure to check, that you ran translate.sh which creates the necessa= ry=20 *.mo file in LC_MESSAGES. gettext() uses that *.mo file and not the *.po=20 files. *.po files are only "source-files" for creating *.mo Also, make sure that all permissions are ok (including directories). Maybe this helps. /Arno |

I have made a small patch for GoWiki (http://senseis.xmp.net/) where the=20 user can set his name via a cookie. No password, so everyone can pretend = to=20 be everyone else. But it's quite easy and effective. Steve, I could add that patch to the main wiki, what do you think? /Arno |

Actually, I've corrected the function ParseAndLink() which is called by=20
ExtractWikiPageLinks. Insert the elseif there.

Thanks for spotting the problem. I've corrected ExtractWikiPageLinks.

I give up. There must be some gettext bug. I can't get the gettext in php to recognize translations. I have compiled and installed the latest version of PHP and built it with --gettext but that didn't help either. If I use PhpWiki on a server with an old version of PHP which hasn't gettext. PhpWiki defines it's own gettext in lib/config.php. That one works like a charm. But the PHP built-in just returns the original English string. PhpWiki follows the example in the API by the book so there should not be any error there. I will make a simplified test case tomorrow to check if there are no real errors in the php code of PhpWiki. Can someone confirm this? My setup is: PhpWiki nightly build Jan 12 (same error with 1.1.9) PHP 4.0.4pl1 (same error with 4.0.3pl1) compiled with gettext Apache 1.3.14 gettext 0.10.35 --=20 ___\ Jon =C5slund |

Hi Thomas this can be done with a user table and a cookie. I have phpWiki integrated in a web portal software (myPHPortal) you can see this in action at: http://proca.nexen.net/phpwiki.php It can be configured in three ways: 1. Allow create/modify to everyone 2. Disallow to anonymous and only allow to registered users 3. Allow only to some users And you can see how foxwikis do this (a cookie) http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~WhoAmI~Wiki Pablo Roca (pr...@cl...) Someone told me that having the full URL in the RecentChanges is a thing he wouldn't like. He is very concerned in security and preferred not to have his own IP published every time. What can be done: Store as you do now the IP in the database don't change this But only show the first IP in the list like is done in: http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~RecentChanges i.e: 192.168.77.245 -> 192.168.77.xxx That's easy to do, but I ask your oppinion. Can this be good? I checked the latest CVS and this can be done in savepage.php, I have done some more changes there for seeing the time of add/change lines 53-59 // add the updated page's name to the array if($isnewpage) { $newpage[$k++] = "* [$pagename] (new) ..... $remoteuser\r"; } else { $diffurl = "phpwiki:?diff=" . rawurlencode($pagename); $newpage[$k++] = "* [$pagename] ([diff|$diffurl]) ..... $remoteuser\r"; } changed to: $showtime = strftime("%r",$now); $remoteusercut = preg_replace("/(\d+)\.(\d+)\.(\d+)\.(\d+)/","\\1.\\2.\\3.xxx",$remoteuser); if($isnewpage) { $newpage[$k++] = "* [$pagename] ('''new''') ..... Pages are archived only when the authors change; this is an algorithm borrowed from the original Wiki. In fact the "author" is the IP address; this is what's checked against. You could hack the code to remove the check, so all edits cause the page to go into the archive... but bear in mind only one copy ever exists in the archive, so you can't get an audit trail like a lot of people wish for. This is something I want to add to PhpWiki. ~swain On Fri, 12 Jan 2001, Barlas, Morgan wrote: > Steve - > > I have installed phpwiki 1.1.9 on a Linux 7.0 server. OK, I follow now. I remember trying to use the new dba_* interface many months ago and it was still alpha. This is problematic since it will make supporting 3.x PHP sites harder. Perhaps we can try a search-and-replace on all the dbm* functions in dbmlib.php and see if that works... and have an alternate file, dbalib.php, and when a new installation is done test to see what version of PHP is in use. Ugh. I never wanted to be an installation engineer. I guess you have to take the bad with the good. ~swain On Fri, 12 Jan 2001, Arno Hollosi wrote: > > Martin, Steve, > > > > In the info of PHP I get: > > > dba > > > DBA support enabled > > > Supported handlers gdbm dbm ndbm > > The "dba" section is the generic interface for dbm-style databases. Hello again Martin, This is the second perplexing problem we've had this week with DBM based installs and PHP 4.0.4. I'm going to build 4.0.4 myself tonight to see if there isn't a bug in PHP itself. The ChangeLog for 4.0.4 shows at least two changes relating to DBM support. ~swain On Fri, 12 Jan 2001, Martin Verboon wrote: > It's version 1.1.9 I'm running, and I ./configure-d it with: > ./configure -with-config-file-path=/ect/httpd -enable-sockets -with-mysql -w > ith-apxs -with-dbm -with-ndbm -with-gdbm > I also set the PHP4 to handle .php .php3 AND .php4 file extensions (in > httpd.conf), so that's not it too. Well, the translation is now done (except for WabiSabi page and some other), but how do I test it? I must be really stupid, because I can't even get the existing translations to work. I have checked lib/config.php and it doesn't define it's own gettext but relies on an existing one, but that one always returns it's argument. Perhaps I am using a buggy night build (I downloaded it two days ago I think)? I will test the latest when I wake up. --=20 ___\ [Jon=C5slund] |

Are you assuming that every page had a site-map link with itself at the root, or would this still be a problem if every page had an identical site-map link with the front page at the root? I never seriously intended the sitemap function to go on every page. Okay, I have updated the sitemap code to use these functions, so now all the entries are links. The fix to ExtractWikiPageLinks has also made things neater. The only problem that apparently remains is the use of the [1], [2], [3] style references, which appear as "1", "2", "3" in the sitemap. Hi, > Perhaps in C style, we could introduce flags to ExtractWikiPageLinks to > return all links, only external, only BumbyText, only brackets, etc. The > function is only called once in any given DB library, so the change > wouldn't be unmanagable. You could ad an optional argument to the ExtractWikiPageLinks function which has a default value reproducing the actual behaviour. Then there is no need to change other libraries. Thomas p.s.: I made some extensions to phpwiki and am trying to do some more. Things I am very interesting in are - InterWiki : I implemented a NameSpace::WikiTag scheme to do this. - how can a single wiki site be multilingual ? There should be support to switch the language of the wiki as also to have multilingual wikiObjects - object oriented wiki aproach, to support more structuring I'm thinking about these ideas on www.openobject.de , unfortunately in german language. |

This is a good suggestion. We take similar care with function names and file names, and table names should be no different. ~swain On Thu, 11 Jan 2001, Pablo Roca Rozas wrote: > Can the phpWiki team do this change? > > Table names changed to: > > wiki > wikiarchive > wikilinks > wikihitcount > wikiscore > > Cause some developers used wiki with others products and table names can mix > with ours. > > Well I have done this changes to my phpWiki, but I would like this will be > standard. > > Thanks. > > Pablo Roca (pr...@cl...) > La Coruna - Espana > myPHPortal Team > http://sourceforge.net/projects/myphportal > > > _______________________________________________ > Phpwiki-talk mailing list > Php...@li... > http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/phpwiki-talk > ...............................ooo0000ooo.................................
