[Phpwiki-talk] PHP parse erreor in error_log

Hello again Reini,

In the Apache error_log, I have the following:

[client 139.54.31.221] PHP Parse error:  parse error, unexpected 
T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in 
/opt/gforge-1.2/www/wiki/themes/default/Wikiwyg/Wikiwyg/Phpwiki.js on line 184, 
referer: http://acmev/wiki/g/cssforge/acos1.2-VTS?action=edit

I did not activate the Wysiwyg mode.

Do you have an idea where I should look to correct this bug?

[Phpwiki-talk] Debugging environment for Phpwiki

Hello Reini,

I would like to know which debbuging environment you use for maintaining
Phpwiki.

I tried xdebug, but I have almost systematic crashes (segmentation fault).

Within the next month I believe.

I also have some major work to do for perl5 and clisp: jit compilers, to 
match up with Patrick Michaud, the author of pmwiki and current compiler 
guru for perl6.

Yes.
Works for me with 5.1, but I had no chance yet to find the session 
problems on 5.2

info just lists the columns.
locked=1 would filter by columns with locked = 1.

LockedPages:
<?plugin AllPages info=locked,author locked=1 ?>

If locked would be detected as valid filter. But apparently it is not
supported yet.
I've added a feature request:

I'll think of a way to filter by any valid column automatically, with
custom columns also.
Currently pagelist filters are not handled within PageList itself, they are
handled within the calling plugin, here in AllPages.
This should be changed soon.
But it would be better to release the current stable fixes first, and
change the filtering within PageList after 1.3.15. Current CVS is
pretty stable.
Haven't checked your recent fixes yet.

PageListFilters:
  left: all valid PageList types, i.e. array_keys($PageList->_types)
  op: =, <>, >,>=,<,<=,
  right: any number or string
Boolean filters: locked=0 or locked=1
String filters: pagename=Test*, pagename<>Test* (á la exclude=Test*)
                   content="*plugin AllPages*"
Numeric filters should include: version<10, version>0, size<=400, ...

I would like to create a wiki that will give me the list of locked pages.

I have put in the "LockedPages" page:

<?plugin AllPages info=locked,author ?>

That gives me the list of all pages, with lock status.
Then you can sort by lock status.

But is there a way to call the plugin to only display the locked pages?

So do I understand you correctly: You have it running with PHP 5.1 but
it is not clear what trick was the essential thing to do?

This would give me some hope and I'd try playing with PHP settings.

I also have the experience that from php-5.1.x on, their (php5)
session management is not as simple as implemented and documented before.

db4 is fine, even better than gdbm.

maybe we should just disable our session hooks for php-5, but I
already tried that
USE_DB_SESSION=false
and it didn't help and I fixed it by fixing some other magic php.ini var
or maybe a local file permission setting.

sorry, no solution yet.

Same problems here.

I recently upgraded our server to SuSE Linux 10.3 an I'm now experiencing
the same problem.
  Apache/2.2.4 (Linux/SUSE) mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e PHP/5.2.5
  phpwiki-1.3.14
To me it looks as if the session management looses the relation to
the session. It also gets confused on how is logged in after 'sign out'.

I tried to log what gets written in Request::finish(), but calling var_export()
causes an abort due to some infinite recursion -- maybe that's the problem ?

Some updates with the ratings library:

I just committed my code to handle non-SQL rating and some fixes to
handle multiple plugins in the same page.

My automatic buddie code, which selects buddies automatically if you 
have not selected some, to enable automatic predictions is just enabled 
for SQL.

I run this code now for some months on my production site and it used to 
be productive. The various needed statistics and helper pages are not 
yet tested.

I first want to commit my new MonoBook-based sidebar theme, which used 
to be well received in the last years. I also want to make this new 
theme the new default in config.ini. I've got no name yet, so far it was 
only called AVL, the company name.

A spammer added a couple blog pages. I deleted the one with the links to

Are we going to see email verified registration soon? I currently delete
spam pages as soon as they appear and block the offending IP address.
Email user authentication would be a great addition.

please someone help me I am desperate!
I have installed phpWiki 1.3.11 Release 19 a while ago and was running it f=
ine until earlier today. (I do know that I should use the newest version bu=
t thats what my server provider (1&1) provides as pre-installed and I have =
failed so far to update, which is another problem and may have to do with l=
imited access to the server or with limited knowledge of myself. I have tri=
ed so please do not simply tell me to use newer version).

As of today, the inital page that used to come up when I called the directo=
ry www.mydomain.xx/phpWiki (probably the index.php - file) no longer shows =
in my browser (screen stays blank).

I need to continue my work on the Wiki which contains a research-project on=
 legal issues.

A reply on this page would be nice, a direct reply by someone who could hel=
p me through the process personally (maybe even over the phone or on-line) =
would be even better. I am located in Germany and I speak English and Germa=
n. My Wiki being a professionally used  page, I am of course willing to pay=
 for similarly professional help, even further on since I would need more h=
elp (for example to upgrade my version, as mentioned).

Hi.  I am having a similar problem.  It seems that I'm losing authentication
as soon as the next click.  So for instance, I log in and see the message
"Authenticated as..." but as soon as I click another link it goes right back
to "You must log in first".  I thought it might be the 5.1.6 (which I'm
using) session bug.

But I've check out my php session directory (/var/lib/php/session) and
examined the session file contents before and after losing
authentication...the session file is being reused and modified.  And the
problem happens with any user/browser/system.

So, is this the same issue, or another thing?  I've poked around for days
and I can't make it work.

For a simple group:user 1:n relation just use the pref table and the 
groupname therein.

For a more powerful group:user n:m relation (users may belong to 
multiple groups) use the seperate member table.
