Hello! My name is Jason. I run phpWiki as a postnuke module @ = http://www.gs4.org. I am in the process of updating lakka's PN module to 1.3.8pre. Devel: http://www.gs4.org/dev . I'll eventually add it to noc.postnuke.com if = they get their Gforge software in order. Maybe this can be a subproject of PhpWiki? Gripes:=20 1.) diff.php and diff3.php do not use the template system. This causes = me to have to make some dirty hacks to those files. I may fix it as soon as I = move pnPhpWiki to a post-alpha stage. 2.) WikiUserNew.php gives me a real headache. Can this be better = documented about who/what/when stuff gets called. For now I hacked WikiUser.php to = use postnuke permissions. It works, but I figure WikiUserNew is the future? Squish: 1.) Added a patch to SourceForge to add a default limit for adodb and recentchanges. If limit isn't set it was just returning one item which = is hardly useful. I'll lurk on SourceForge forums for a while and watch this list as well. = I'm a big fan of adodb (what postnuke uses as well) and I'll see what we can = do to migrate phpWiki off FETCH_ASSOC. Another note: The SourceForge pages/forums/etc. need cleaning, do you need a volunteer? -Jason Potkanski/Electrawn I've stopped 7,338 spam messages. You can too! I mean REALLY cool! There are CMS with cool editors. But I don't want to use it - I like the simple approach of Wiki, and to be able to access it with mimimum requirements. So I wonder whether it's really _suitable_ to add a wysiwyg editor? Oliver -- Oliver Betz, Muenchen |

Hi, Forwarded from one of my users; is there an easy way to coallesce multiple pages into a single page for easy viewing? I vaguely recall a plugin that might do this but I don't recall it off the top of my head. Thanks, -- Bob Begin forwarded message: >but thought I should ask anyway. This looks like a > good job for Jeff (?) I've played now some time with htmlarea3. The problem is to convert HTML back to Wiki formatting. The editor is only able to edit pure HTML, since it relies on the browser internal engine. I started with some markup converter class, but I'm not sure if this will make sense, since we 'll need a complete and lossless round trip wiki->html->wiki. html->wiki looks really hard. The other idea which came to me was to store HTML and if the page type is HTML, only the Wysiwyg editor is called on edit. On page type = wiki one can choose "Edit" or "Wysiwyg Edit". This will bloat all pages, we will loose the wiki format once edited in the Wysiwyg editor, but the editor is really cool. I mean REALLY cool! See for example the http://www.guiki.com page. I've also written a phpnuke module for guiki in 30 minutes. What I have now: * phpwiki integration (ok) * htmlarea3 enhanced with a "Create PageLink" button (80%), * a "Toggle Wiki<->Wysiwyg" button besides the original "Toggle Wysiwyg<->HTML" button (70%), * convert wiki->html before Wysiwyg editing (ok), * convert html->wiki after Wysiwyg editing (10%). Do we want to store HTML and loose wiki markup? (Until the backconverter is written) -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/ |

Reini, I didn't try the ldap groups then (didn't know they existed). I was happy getting authentication against our Active Directory server working. Once I get it working on the current head, I'll look into the groups. >BTW: I use zend studio for debugging. this is absolutely necessary for >serious work. Yes, the PATH_INFO is working with the head version on my system. I had to configure the web server for it to work correctly, but I followed the instructions on the main wiki site, and that seemed to work. I don't have my httpd.conf in cvs, so I don't know if I can find the exact changes that I made :-) John |

I have experimental support for htmlarea ready based on http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ version 2.x works on IE >= 5.5 and version 3 with Mozilla >= 1.3 also I've tested both versions. The missing part is the handler on the save step, when the generated HTML code must be converted back to Wiki formatting. This looks like a good job for Jeff (?) Should I commit this library? Attached is lib/htmlarea.php and some needed patches. mkdir lib/htmlarea3 download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/itools-htmlarea/HTMLArea-3.0-beta.zip?download and unzip into lib/htmlarea3 -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/ |

(though i couldn't import all of my nt and unix users yet) I made some main loop and also WikiUserNew loop changes last week. :( Did LDAP group settings work for you? There are better ways to do it. For now I do a simple two pass check for group membership, but a saw version with a single call also. Wonder if this is maintainable and generizable also. BTW: I use zend studio for debugging. this is absolutely necessary for serious work. > I'm running Windows XPsp1, Apache 2.0.48, PHP/4.3.4 > with an existing phpwiki database on MySQL 4.0.14. Apache2 on Win32 did you get PATH_INFO working? I wasn't be able to fix it, even with all all filters or special suggested settings. my private apache server with ldap (redhat9) has to work without PATH_INFO, which is a mess. -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/ |

Hello, I am trying to get LDAP working with the current CVS version (I have it working with a CVS version from 3 weeks ago, before the latest round of activity). I'm getting a strange problem where if I set a legal LDAP server and try to login (from the bottom of the screen), the request hangs before it gets to the password page. If I try to edit a page before that and get to the login screen and submit that with the admin user, I get a page contains no data (apache cored). I'm not quite sure where to start debugging, because I don't get any info back. I'm running Windows XPsp1, Apache 2.0.48, PHP/4.3.4 with an existing phpwiki database on MySQL 4.0.14. Thanks, John |

Hi folks. My users just stumbled across this... it may be a known issue but i couldn't find it in the archives. I'd like to put a named hyperlink in a table cell, but the pipe symbol in the named hyperlink is perceived to be a table cell break. in other words, <?plugin OldStyleTable | Cell One | {Cell Two Link | http://... ] | ?> Any way we can have the table plugin ignore the pipe inside a named hyperlink? Thanks, Micki -- Micki mailto:mic...@co... |

Thanks for that info. I was doubting about myself :-) If any assistance would be welcome, just point me to the starting point. Btw., a quite good work. Hi, DB auth is already in CVS. Please check against this code and send patches. Hi there, being pretty new to phpwiki, I just wrote some basic user auth funtionality against an external mysql table. So far, the code is not very clear nor follows the coding standards, but it works (at least for me). Of course, I'd like to share it with you if wanted, and I am pretty much willing to adopt it to the phpwiki structure. If so, could someone shed a light on me about the file's structure (some are double) and the phpwiki mysql interface? You used some kind of PEAR, but it is spread over several files and even dirs. Not very clear. Please do not misunderstand: I would never want to bother anybody - I'd be happy to contribute a tiny bit. But to do it right, a starting point would be helpful. Kind regards. Subject line says it all. I want to be able to reference an excel spreadsheet that resides in a shared folder on my machine inside the wiki page. That way I can update it as needed without having to imbed the contents into the page. I had done this type of thing using openwiki and an html style like so: <a href=3D"file:\\eac-proj4/reference/bond3/pagrabs/pa0806.xls">pa0806.xls</= a > I can't seem to figure out how to do this in php wiki Any suggestions? =20 |
