Excellent catch! Thanks a lot. This problem only appears on non-windows boxes: I can now easily reproduce it. Hello, All! I run onto some problems with UserPreferences plug-in, with PersonalPage auth method. Now it trying to call storePass function to change password. But this function does exists only for DB like user types. Here it is small path to avoid this problem. Actually, I don't know is it right or not call changePass method. Correct me if I'm wrong. But for now it returns false for me. Also user preferences fail to be saved. Line $num = $user->setPreferences($rp); returns 0 right now. I'll keep digging, but I believe that this problem will be faster to fix for somebody little bit more familiar with code. I reused WikiBlog for several new attachable pagetypes: WikiBlog, WikiForum (not yet submitted) and the new AddComment plugin with the pagetype 'comment'. The difference is basically just a different template and CSS classes. And some more plugin arguments. The javascript button to expand the comments - as with CreateToc - is missing. -- Reini Urban http://xarch.tu-graz.ac.at/home/rurban/ |

Hi, I just would like to know, whether phpwiki definitely requires php as an Apache module or whether there is a way to configure phpwiki for running with php4 as a cgi. I could see that phpwiki is running fine with php4 as an Apache module but fails with the following error, when I try to call one of the offered links on index.php, the entry page. Parse error: parse error in /usr/local/www/cgi-bin-dist/php on line 6265 Other php4 script based software like phpMyAdmin are running fine for example. Thanks in advance, Benjamin |

"dmitry m" <dmi...@ho...> writes: > Also, WikiWeblog plugin acts more like a "comment" form if > anything. I also couldn't get Comment plugin to go. The Comment plugin doesn't give a add-a-comment-to-this-page functionality, instead it gives you comments in your wiki markup. So if you want to write something in the wiki source of a page that shouldn't show up in the rendered HTML, then do Normal text. <?plugin Comment !!! Hidden Section This text is only seen when editing the page. ?> Normal text. Maybe the name of the plugin should be changed to Hide, InvisibleText, MarkupComment, or something similar? But then, that would disrupt old wikipages that happen to use the old name, so perhaps this isn't such a good idea. -- Martin Geisler My GnuPG Key: 0xF7F6B57B See http://gimpster.com/ and http://phpweather.net/ for: PHP Weather: Shows the current weather on your webpage and PHP Shell: A telnet-connection (almost :-) in a PHP page. |

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I've just installed phpwiki a few hours ago. I was wondering if you could answer a number of questions that turned up. I do apologise if they are covered elsewhere, I tried my best to find them. My primary intention for this thing is to use it as a blog/wiki. This http://the.taoofmac.com/ is pretty much spot on what I want to end up with (wiki + blog, thanks google! :) It seems like most of the components are there, I just have to figure out how to put them together. Basically I want one of the wiki entries to emulate MovableType/B2 interface in a way. I want a calendar, links to archive, and perhaps the topmost post. I've created a DmitryBlog entry, and used Calendar plugin. First thing I noticed is that the <?plugin?> clause must be on a line by itself. That will make it hard to have a least some rudimentary formating. Am I missing something? Also, WikiWeblog plugin acts more like a "comment" form if anything. I also couldn't get Comment plugin to go. Is it possible to make some wikipages private (i rememeber seeing that permissions are coming soon). What do you think, is it feasible to use phpwiki in this way without introducing major code changes? Thanks in advance. -D _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/featuredemail |

Hello, All! Could somebody tell me what is the most tested auth method? I've tried to use file based user list, but it seems to have some problems. Also I can't turn off anon editing of pages. I have set: ALLOW_ANON_USER true ALLOW_ANON_EDIT false ALLOW_BOGO_LOGIN false ALLOW_USER_PASSWORDS true USER_AUTH_ORDER (File) USER_AUTH_POLICY 'first-only' // but that doesn't matter ALLOW_USER_LOGIN true With best regards, Konstantin Zadorozhny. np: |

Hi folks. Interesting bugs with CreateToc: 1. If a heading's text is the same as an existing WikiPageName or WantedPage, it seems to get confused (see below). 2. If a heading's text contains periods it seems to get confused (see below). 3. If it contains slashes, it creates an additional error at the top of the page: "lib/plugin/CreateToc.php (In template 'browse') (In template 'savepage') (In template 'body') (In template 'html'):74: Warning[2]: Unknown modifier 'N'" ('N' being the next letter in the heading text) 'get confused' means it generates a PHP Warning at the bottom: lib/plugin/CreateToc.php (In template 'browse') (In template 'savepage') (In template 'body') (In template 'html'):78: Notice[1024]: Heading <h2> WikiWord </h2> not found lib/plugin/CreateToc.php (In template 'browse') (In template 'savepage') (In template 'body') (In template 'html'):78: Notice[1024]: Heading <h3> The Announcement, Project Summary and Discussions / Notes </h3> not found lib/plugin/CreateToc.php (In template 'browse') (In template 'savepage') (In template 'body') (In template 'html'):78: Notice[1024]: Heading <h4> Project Plan, Sales and Marketing, etc\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\. </h4> not found Thanks! Hi, I thought of a dictionary lookup, but I thought it was overkill--at least for my needs. Virtual paths would be cool if I would have every page translated... IMHO, it would be handy to present the translated version if it existed, or the default if that was the only one...growing on a per case basis. Do you mind me asking why " don't do it with plugins"? TIA, Beto Reini Urban wrote: > we came to this conclusion: don't do it with plugins. > we do it with virtual paths on > http://phpwiki.sf.net/demo/(en|de|es|fr|...)/ and do the linking > manually. > > of course it would be fine to have a tool which helps in localizing > new wikipages by lookup in a wikiword dictionary. > > > Norberto Meijome schrieb: > >> Hi list, >> Is there a plugin to aid with *content / wikiwords* localisation? >> Auto-translation of wikiwords was a passing thought...but riddled >> with problems. >> >> I know pgsrc has been localised to several languages (I'll be glad to >> help with Spanish, BTW), but I'm looking for something that will help >> visitors see the version of a page in the correct language. >> >> (excuse my poor knowledge of plugin syntax and phylosophy in the >> following examples...) >> something like... >> >> <?plugin LocalisedVersion Lang="en-*" default="yes"> >> [ALL TEXT FOR ALL ENGLISH LOCALES HERE] >> <?plugin LocalisedVersion Lang="es-*"> >> [ALL THE TEXT FOR SP LOCALES HERE] >> >> etc. >> and only the right text would show depending on your language. >> Notes : how to manage editing? show everything? enhance editing so >> that only you get to edit the language you are seeing? that could be >> problematic with versioning...maybe? >> >> Or maybe a combination of language detection and http redirection. >> Say, in AWikiPage >> >> <?plugin LocalisedVersionRedirect Lang="en-*" >> WikiWord="AWikiPageEnglish"> >> <?plugin LocalisedVersionRedirect Lang="es-*" WikiWord="MiPaginaWiki"> >> >> Note: how to handle defaults? maybe all in one plugin declaration?: >> >> <?plugin LocalisedVersionRedirect Values="[en-*, AWikiPageEnglish, >> es-*,MiPaginaWeb,ab-*, HowDoYouSayWikiPageInArabic]" default="en-*" > >> >> ( or default="DefaultPageForNewLanguage"). >> >> Or even better, include instead of redirection... >> >> Any suggestions on how to best implement this if not implemented yet? >> I'm happy to do it :-) >> >> Best regards, >> > > -- Norberto Meijome | numard at meijome dot net "Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough." - Richard Feynman |

we came to this conclusion: don't do it with plugins. we do it with virtual paths on http://phpwiki.sf.net/demo/(en|de|es|fr|...)/ and do the linking manually. of course it would be fine to have a tool which helps in localizing new wikipages by lookup in a wikiword dictionary. I'll clarify: Toc's on each included page are unnecessary. But a top Toc that incorporates the headings (especially if quiet=1) from IncludePages would make CreateToc shine.
