This may or may not be useful to y'all over there in Europe,
but I've been using http://www.digitalspace.net/ for a few years
now and am pretty happy.  They're not without flaws but for
$36 per year (for a shell account, PHP, MySQL) it's hard to go wrong
for "hobby site" hosting.
