I found a workaround for this problem. Edit the BackLinks Page and change the checkbox to use New Markup. (/wiki/BackLinks?action=edit) Alternatively you can change the single quotes '' to double quotes "" like this: <?plugin BackLinks exclude||="" include_self||=1 noheader||=0 page||="" info||="" ?> So the problem may be narrowed down to the code which parses plugins on non-new markup pages.
