[Phpwiki-talk] Need help installing phpwiki.

I don't know if this is the right list for this question but here goes:

1) I would like to install phppwiki within my website on ibiblio
(http://www.ibiblio.irg/ecolandtech) for use by the subscribers of my
permaculture mailing list to use to build a Permaculture Wiki as an
ongoing project that could last for years.

I have downloaded and uncompressed the phpwiki software into
http://www.ibiblio.org/ecolandtech/pcwiki. The file system there is straight
out of the box. I get an error message when executing index.php from that location.
The README says it works out of the box with the default configuration. I would
very much like to get this running; phpwiki is the platform I prefer.
Any hints or pointers to other resources would be much appreciated.
