I  agree,  given  that  the  list  has  public archives only. The only
potential  problem is that anyone can post via the news interface, but
at  the  moment  someone  (presumably our revered project manager) can
veto  subscriptions  to  the  list.  OTOH,  of course, the list is not
moderated in any event.
