I'm not sure if this is a bug or a "feature" of the cvs version.

Shouldn't a named link to an internal page (eg [Alias|SandBox] ) be 
rendered in the same way as an unnamed link to an internal page (eg 
SandBox) ?  At the moment, it is rendered in the same way as a named link 
to an external page (eg [Alias|http://blah.com])

  A similar thing happens with unknown pages, but in that case the 
rendering is almost illegible   (eg [Alias|UnknownWikiPage] )

I would have thought that all internal pages (named or unnamed) should be 
rendered in the same way, so that people know that they are internal.  The 
same should happen for all unknown internal links.
