something i'd been thinking about.  i'd like to see a stable release of
1.3 in the nearish (weeks to months?) future as it has a lot of features
and improvements in it that i'd like to use, but i need something that
has been cleaned up and debugged a little more then the current alpha?

what are peoples thoughts on the timeline for this?  do we have a
tenative roadmap for what features we're trying to get ready for the
next stable release?
