I've never been happy with the word 'diff' because it's a Unix tool, and about 0.000001% of the world's population knows that. For the common user the word has no meaning. But I've yet to think of a suitable replacement. The word is nice and small. 'CompareToPreviousVersion' is too clunky. Still, I suppose meaning over brevity should be the rule.
