okay well i've deleted all (unless i missed some) of the cruft that is shown in the RecentChanges pages. i'll start in on the older stuff soon. some of it was a hard call though as it was bonafide content but seemed totally unrelated to phpwiki (like a bunch of pages on the nurses march, a lot of german pages and weird pages like SuperLinux). i tried to use my best judgement but unless i was really unsure i deleted it. the only other thing i felt bad about was deleting home pages but there were a lot of people who logged in and didn't really say anything. so the rule i used was if they said anything more then "testing blah" or left some personal info i left it, otherwise i deleted it. i'll start trying to categorize things soon. the things that would be really useful for this process (which i know have been talked about plenty :-) are: * a page which lists all the pages * an orphaned pages implementation * a wanted pages implementation * phpwiki 1.3 plugins :-) to help with dynamically generating category pages * allowing the right hand side of interwiki maps to not be WikiWords (for the cool interwiki category hack). also (sorry this is ending up longer then i'd meant) ... there is a page showing up in RecentChanges called www.idanetwork.org but when you go to it you get the FrontPage (and it actually is the FrontPage not just a copy of the data). it means that the page is impossible to delete. finally, do you want bugs reported to the wiki or to sourceforge? people seem to like reporting them to the wiki better but i've seen repeated requests for them to get filed on sourceforge. thanks, adam. |
