Regarding all this comments to tables i would suggest:

leave tables as they are, ommit any customization of table layout and do it
all in the stylesheet.

If one could add a [style.css] to set the stylesheet and/or something to
change the actual class
(maybe [class:aclass]) then the whole things would be higly configurable.
