I think I am experiencing a similar problem, but did not understand the solution described in this thread. I suspect PHP was upgraded by my hosting provider and now the wiki at wiki.boalt.org has A LOT of pear-related errors being spewed out at the bottom of every page. I backed up the database and decided to just upgrade to the latest version of phpwiki to see if that would fix it. I installed the new phpwiki at boalt.org/wikiwiki/ and the "virgin wiki" page spewed out a bunch of similar errors, mostly of the form: /usr/lib/php/DB/common.php:1295: Notice[8]: Only variable references should be returned by reference Now the pages on the new wiki all have similar errors. Can someone explain (using small words! --newbie alert!) how to fix this myself or what I need to tell my hosting provider to have them fix it. Thanks. Brian |
