[Phpwiki-talk] Warnings displayed on pages of new installation

Hi!

Just installed phpwiki from source (not deb-package) on a debian unstable 
machine, using mysql and running mysql-server-4.1 and php 4.4.0-1. On the 
pages of the wiki, however, i get a number of warnings, like this: 

ib/DbSession/SQL.php:97: Notice: Only variables should be assigned by 
reference

lib/CachedMarkup.php (In template 'browse' < 'body' < 'html'):491: Notice: 
Only variables should be assigned by reference


What does this mean, how serious is it, and is there a way to fix what causes 
them? I do not understand much php, unfortunately.
