Actually, the problem was that I had blocked cookies, and even if you sign in using a WikiWord name, if you don't allow cookies, you lose. Anonymous users cannot edit anything, but if you sign in as NoahBody or AnonYmous, and accept cookies, you can still be "anonymous" and run amok. The server really was crawling and gasping at times yesterday. If I hadn't already seen how an unencumbered wiki works, I would have had my doubts about the software. Maybe the demo site really ought to be on a zippier host. - BillThoen |
