Hi, I'm moving my wiki from one machine to another and two problems arise when restoring straight from a wikidb.dump. First, I don't want to overwrite parts of the new (empty) wiki, especially the admin pages, documentation, etc. Second, restoring from the wiki dump only pulls in the first version of each page, leaving the most recent revisions to be imported manually -- very bad. I have 541 unique pages, many with multiple versions, and manually clicking "merge edit" or "restore anyway" for the most recent versions of the pages is wholly unmanagable. Basically, I want all versions of my original, locally-produced content pulled into the new wiki without a lot of manual editing and I don't want to break any of the new generic infrastructure by importing archiac docs, admin pages, etc. If I could do that, the only piece of manual administration is making minor edits to the home page. Any suggestions on how to gracefully upgrade without a lot of clicking, losing history, or breaking all the new generic pages? -- Bob |
