My web designer and I also wrote some "skins/themes" for phpwiki. The one on CraoWiki is quite old now ... but we have a new one running on http://autrans.crao.net/ and the next CraoWiki theme is on http://nwiki.crao.net/ for testing. After writing 6 different themes ... I just miss the good Smarty Template engine !! But well ... maybe it's not a priority :) I can (with a neutral logo) add them to the PhpWiki tree along with my RssFeed plugin. I also run some private wikis protected by the external http authentification. I wrote a little hack to get this external auth working with PhpWiki ... not perfect but works. I'm also working on the XmlRpc side to add remote page modification and creation. Oh ... btw, CraoWiki has more than 2800 pages, about 200 contributors (normal non geek ppl) and more than 26000 visits a month (more than 16000 visitors). So its a nice real life benchmark for PhpWiki :) Last time I tried to overload it using ab (with 100 concurrent users and 100 requests per users), it was able to deliver 7+ requests per second (no cache at all, MySQL and GDBM as backend on a dual PIII 1ghz and 1.5 GB of Ram). We need to dig into the code for some optimization ... 7 request per second is not much ... Well ... It time to move this great project ahead. --=20 Arnaud Fontaine Jabber: sh...@ra... ICQ: 3504789 |
