[Phpwiki-talk] newbie install problems

i want to publish a php wiki on my domain www.paprosoft.de which is 
hosted by greatnet. this means, i can only acces our webspace through 
ftp....
i always get this error:


    Fatal PhpWiki Error

lib/DbaDatabase.php:32: Fatal[256]: dba_open(tmp/wiki_pagedb.gdbm,c) [<a 
href='http://www.php.net/function.dba-open'>function.dba-open</a>]: 
Driver initialization failed for handler: gdbm: Can't be writer

changing the directory for the db files doesn´t help anything.

at first nothing worked due to the not installed gdbm-module for php. 
then i asked the service-team to compile the php thing with the 
"--with-gdbm" option. they did. and now i have this error.
i´m getting crazy...
