The author of the quote from the page WabiSabi contacted me. Strange is
truer than fiction.

I'll update the page in CVS today; what I can do about the thousand-odd
pages out there, I'm not sure.

Dear Mr. Wainstead,

I have a little problem. Perhaps you can help me.

I wrote a book in 1994 titled WABI-SABI: FOR ARTISTS,
DESIGNERS, POETS & PHILOSOPHERS. In the repeated--ad
infinitum--wiki world, my book is quoted and my name
is mentioned in the "wabi-sabi" entry. There are not,
however, quotation marks around all of the material
quoted from my book. Nor is there a mention of my
book's title. I went to one of your websites and tried
to insert this material myself. Maybe I was sucessful,
maybe not. Anyway, quotation marks should additionally
be placed around the words

"Wabi-sabi is a beauty of things
imperfect,impermanent, and incomplete. It is the
beauty of things modest and humble.  It is the beauty
of things unconventional." (the foregoing are from my
book's backcover).

Also, quotation marks should be placed as follows:
"Material characteristics of wabi-sabi: suggestion of
natural process
      irregular
      intimate
      unpretentious
      earthy
     	simple"

(it is from the contents of the last
chapter of the book.)

I know this might not seem so significant to you, but
since this section of your wiki world comes up so
often in web searches, it is important for me that my
exact words are attributed properly. I would be very
grateful if you make these changes.
