problem with a new install

Trying install the phpwiki on a new debian system, running apache2 and php 4. The error i get is:

Fatal Error:

lib/DbaDatabase.php:162: Error: /tmp/pagedb.gdbm: dba error: The DBA handler gdbm is unsupported!

* Supported handlers are: cdb,cdb_make,db4,inifile,flatfile

I have mysql installed and the users and passwords set.

Anyone have any thoughts on this!?
