[phpwhois-discuss] phpwhois very slow now -- bad registry whois.nsiregistry.net

I've been using phpwhois for about a year and all was working well  
until recently. The domain look up for *.com are very very slow. After  
investigating I
think I discoverd the problem with:

   // Network Solutions registry server in whois.main.php
      var $NSI_REGISTRY = "whois.nsiregistry.net";

And whois.nsiregistry.net doesn't work when I try to pull it up in my  
browser. Perhaps whois.nsiregistry.net should not be accessible over  
http. Please help me understand what I need to do to ensure the looks  
up are fast as they used to be.
