Authentication Layer - phpBB stripped away

I recently coded something of a user authentication layer class, which essentially removed all of the phpBB remnants that we used just to get the application up and running fast. The application hasn't changed a bit, but underneath, there are several differences, mostly relating to user authentication and session management. Preview to come soon.

phpWetBar 0.6.0 in works

Hey, for the few of you who have found this project, thanks for downloading. I hope we can attract a few more people before the end of the summer.

Just for info, and for the sake of letting people know the project is not abandoned, there are a great deal of features in the works, probably to be released early summer. Also, if there's a few of you intersted at all, now would be a good time to put in a feature request. chersterz and I are interested in a new spin, since we've ignored this project for a few months, and it would help get some momentum going. Please post any comments on the feature request page for this purpose.

phpWetBar 0.5.2 - Ingredient Pack and Maintenance Release

This is a maintenance release, fixing bugs from the previously submitted version. However, there is one special feature of this release. This release contains a recipe starter pack to get you started adding recipes to the database. More recipes will continue to be added to the base dataset. Also in this release is an excel document that may give you hints on how to mass add recipes to the database. I am not going to explain the excel document, but you may use it as a template with no support offered.

Slowing down a bit

The project has slowed just a bit, due to school work and general busyness. Makes sense doesn't it. Well, it will continue to be developed but we're not sure when we will release a beta. When it is discussed and decided, it will be posted here. For now, be patient.

Also, if anyone has a way to get access to free lists of cocktail recipes, please let one of us know.

Alpha Stage -- almost there

Hey everyone. This is our first bit of news on the new project "phpWetBar" we've been developing.

Just to tell you a bit about it:
The project is an interactive cocktail-database management software designed to create cocktail communities to share their favorite recipes with each other online.
It is based on phpBB software (open-source forum/bulletin board software). The first "theme" (look and feel) we will release is based on the phpBB subSilver theme. Eventually we will release our own theme that looks something like a cool recipe book of some sort. So bear with us on this one.
Features of the software currently include:
User Registration
User management
User profiles
Global user data, available application wide
Original subSilver theme of phpBB2
Unique database schema structure
Ingredients, Utensils/Glassware, and Recipe storage
Full featured search of database including:
=>recipes
=>utensils
=>glassware
=>ingredients
Recipe display page
User favorites page with private notes
User mybar page with what can I make? search
User recipe submission wizard including including:
=>List of ingredients, amount, units, and type (Base, Secondary, Garnish)
=>Glassware used, Drink category
=>Optional wizard for per ingredient substitutions
=>Optional wizard for adding author citation text to a recipe
User ratings and comments... read more
