It seems the contents of the boost directory are the same as the contents of the setup directory. The MODULE_TUTORIAL.txt says that install.sql and uninstall.sql go into the setup dir, while install.php and uninstall.php go into the boost dir. Reading the tutorial it seems the intent is that they all should be in the same dir, and that is reflected in the actual CVS. FYI. Just need to know so I can bring my mod in line. Don. |

So just to clarify, the setup dir is going away and the install/uninstall files go into the boost dir? Don. On Wed, 22 Jan 2003, Matthew McNaney wrote: > Thanks, > > Much of the documentation will need updating. > > Matt > > |

Don, Yes you are correct. The mod_info.php file from the setup directory has been moved to modname/conf/boost.php and the rest of the setup files have been moved to the modname/boost/ directory. > So just to clarify, the setup dir is going away and the > install/uninstall files go into the boost dir? > > Don. > > On Wed, 22 Jan 2003, Matthew McNaney wrote: > >> Thanks, >> >> Much of the documentation will need updating. >> >> Matt >> >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Scholarships for Techies! > Can't afford IT training? MODULE_TUTORIAL.txt is way out of date to some of the changes we've been making. I will revisit it sometime soon and put some real meat in it.... I just noticed via the cvs commits list that it was updated so that's why I bothered to look. Don. That's cool...I've been working with several students up here, "training" them on how to develop for phpwebsite. It's helped me to figure out how I'd like to put together a developer "howto" doc that should eventually replace the module_tutorial.txt file. As soon as I get all these cats coding up a storm, I'll put in time on that document. setup/layout_info.php = conf/layout.php :) Take a look at my post a while back about these changes if you want to get a feel for what and why we're making these moves.
