Well, I would say the speed increase will be relatively small -
str_replace it very fast on it's own. The increase would be greater
compared to (e|p)reg_replace, but we don't use that anymore :-)
Besides giving the speed increase, it is more or less a question of
how to do something, generally speaking :-)
