I think http://www.freeview.com is on the right track for many of the ideas
discussed here. They use PHP, MSsql, mySQL and are definitely closed
source, but I like their concept and progress. They have 18 full-time
developers working on their project and it's reasonably priced for what they
deliver.
The following is a like to their internal demo site, so please be careful
with what you change.
