Both. I will produce an RC today or tomorrow. Normally I put out module updates first, then create an RC from the result. I am going to produce the RC from a finalized subversion export this time. Once I am satisfied with the RC, I will finalize the module updates then create a final release. I am still working in subversion right now. I need to polish PageSmith. Once done with that, I'll update dependencies and boost files. Then I'll put out the RC and contact y'all. I'll be running the RC against 1.2.0 to debug. Thanks for offering to help :) Matt Verdon Vaillancourt wrote: > Hi Matt, > > Are you looking for tests of an upgrade or fresh install? > > rgds, > verdon > > > On 23-Jul-07, at 8:49 AM, matt wrote: > > >> If anyone would care to test the next release candidate, I'd >> appreciate it. >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. > Still grepping through log files to find problems? Good day, I am going to work on a 1.3.0 release this week. The reason I am notifying you now is that I feel it will be a little incomplete. There are some very good bugs and feature requests in SF but I need to skip some of them for now. We have four university module deadlines for August. Since two modules require the latest core version, I am pushing the 1.3.0 release. The good news is that once we get past August, we should be done with university projects for the first time in three years. 1.3.0 will contain two new modules: Signup and PageSmith. The first module's title aptly describes its function. The second module is an alternative to Web Pages. It is a template-based page creation tool. Though it will be included in the next version, it doesn't have any conversion tools yet. Versioning is also absent. If anyone would care to test the next release candidate, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Matt -- Matthew McNaney Electronic Student Services Appalachian State University Ext. 6493 http://ess.appstate.edu http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu |

Out now. Free download from http://www.apple.com/safari/ for Mac OSX 10.4.9, Windows XP and Vista. yes, that's right Windows! It's blinding fast, especially the Javascript as it's blazing through the Scriptaculous/Prototype AJAX code I've been using on a customer's site and actually makes Sourceforge's menus work fast-ish. From my brief testing, TinyMCE seems to work without any problems. FCKEditor still falls back due to browser sniffing. Simple WYSIWYG also works fine. I wanted to pass that along. Owner is a really cool guy with some great ideas. It would likely be part time, at least at first. His distributorship is really taking off. |

Testing now. Can I suggest you don't use .tgz for distribution. Apparently common Windows unarchivers don't know what a .tgz is even if they do know what a .tar.gz is. The point was made on phpwsforums that if new users are just downloading and unpacking to see what's in a CMS, not having to hunt around for a compatible unarchiver is beneficial to that fresh out the box new product smell. How about using ZIP? Supported by Windows and Mac without any 3rd party tools required. On 9 May 2007, at 19:06, Matthew McNaney wrote: > I have released a candidate for phpWebSite 1.2.0 today. It's not supposed to work via the command line AFAIK, although it's certainly an interesting idea for initial installation. Hi, Good news and bad news.... Good news : I found there is another program, php-cgi that DOES give me the headers. So now I get them, index.php redirects to setup/index.php . Bad news: Even though I try to attempt to override the session.auto_start via either the command line, or pointing to a new php.ini.... It doesn't accept it. So back at square one. Still looking for help. Hi, To start: OS - FreeBSD 4 Web Server - Apache 1.3.37 Database - Mysql 4.1.22 PHP - 4.4.4 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.6 phpWebSite - Out of box, unconfigured I'm trying to run under CGIWRAP for Php, which is forcing me to run via the command line. In doing so, I really can't seem to get too far on this. Out of the box, I try to run the "index.php" and nothing returns : vjofn# php index.php vjofn# If I look at the script, it wants to redirect me to "./setup/index.php". So if I start that... vjofn# php index.php |more session.auto_start must be set to 0 for phpWebSite to work. Please review your p hp.ini file. Ok, not a problem, lets make it happy... vjofn# php -dsession.auto_start=0 index.php | head <html> <head> <title>phpWebSite 1.1.0 - Directory Permissions</title> <style type="text/css"> body { background-color : #ADB583; font-size : 100%; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color : #0E1662; } Which isn't bad, except since its running from the command line, not the Apache module, its expected to return Content Type headers and possibly other things..... Is there something special I need to tweak/do first before being able to run with the command line module, not apache mod_php? Thanks, Tuc |

Hi all, I am gearing up for a 1.2.0 release. The current subversion checkout contains updates for all packages. I will be testing new installs, 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 updates and conversions. Once I am satisfied with its stability, I will push the packages and create RC 1.2.0. I welcome any testing you can provide. There are two remaining tasks I want to complete before the RC 1) Fix the File Cabinet conversion. It is still using the old module method. 2) Rewrite the method for listing pages in DBPager. Thanks for everyone's help in fixing bugs. Special thanks to Verdon who helped get the File Cabinet rewrite on its feet.
