Hello all, I plan on pushing out the second release candidate at the beginning of next week. It will contain the Photoalbum and Form Generator modules. I also have done some work on the conversion scripts. They will be included as well. I will try to go over some documentation as well. For those of you who installed RC1, you can try the Boost updater. I have created packages of all the modules and placed them here: http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/downloads/modules/ (Photo Album and Form Generator are there for downloading if you want to try them) To see how Boost works with updates, you will need to: 1) Download the updated core from http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/downloads/modules/core/core_1_0_0.tgz untar it in your installation directory. 2) Run Boost. On the core module tab, click 'Check' next to Boost. You should get a notice that an upgrade is available. Download it into your installation's mod directory and untar it. Now update it inside Boost. 3) Repeat process 2 for each module you want to update. Here is a list of the modules that have updates: comments filecabinet layout miniadmin related users profiler rss Untar each in the mod/ directory and update each in Boost. You should also get the updated javascript and theme packages: http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/downloads/javascript/javascript_1_0_0.tgz http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/downloads/themes/default/default_1_0_0.tgz Of course all of these will be included in RC2. Hopefully, the new Boost process will help keep sites up-to-date. Allowing just a Core update will assist with any security patches (of which we hope are infrequent). It will also allow module dependencies on the core. Have a good weekend. Matt -- Matthew McNaney Electronic Student Services Appalachian State University http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu |
