Up until Safari 1.3 (on OSX 10.3) and 2.0 (on OSX 10.4), Safari  
didn't support contentEditable or any of the other stuff needed for a  
WYSIWYG editor. When it did, the Mac community bought FCK's author a  
new iBook to develop FCK on. He's having problems loading javascript  
dynamically so it's not there yet.

I'll ask. They're Brits so we're flushed with Cricket success at the  
mo and will be feeling generous. If not I'll buy a copy myself and  
hide it in a project somewhere as expenses.
