I know. I have been following all of those discussions with great interest.
It was my attention to participate in the discussion earlier, mainly in the
CSS thread, but I though you did okay without my interference :-)

I agree with you, and think we should focus on this issue when the time is
right. Functions helping the developers produce interface related content,
would ensure a consistent design. There might be a performance issue here,
but I will leave that up to the experts to find the right balance between
functions, templates and homemade implementations.
