Mike,
Understandable, xcf is Gimp's native format. Fortunately Gimp can read
psd, so that is an acceptable option. If it's not to much work, I'd
really like to take a look at what you did. :-)

Isn't there a function for drop shadow in Photoshop?

Neither do I. That is my main reason for asking for the source file. I
guess I'll have to break down and finally read the Gimp docs.
