Hi there, I am new on the list. I have to setup a basic Web CMS for a client and found phpWebSite. I choose it over *nuke, ezpublish and phpWebLog because it offer just the right balance of features and simplicity for my needs and was easier to setup than most. Good work, guys! The package would probably need a little bit of customization to suit my client needs. Before I dive in and modify the code, I think it would be better to ask if there is already a way to achieve my goals (a plug-in, maybe ?) or, if not, how should this problem be tackled. I am willing to post a patch and share my mods, if they interest anybody. My client want to have news displayed on the frontpage only on certain date/time. On news creation, the author have to specify the timeslice that the news is displayed. For example, he would choose from November 15th to December 1st, or from 8hAM to 11h30AM today. The news would make the frontpage only during this period. That suppose that we can schedule news for the future. Does a plug-in exist that would do such a thing ? If not, should I directly edit index.php and ... ? What would be the best way to keep it modular ? Also, I noticed many [TRANSLATE] in the french version I downloaded. I would be willing to translate these. I had been looking around but can't find anything looking like a language file. I would be grateful if you could point me to documenation/instructions on translating phpWebSite ot just tell me which file need editing.
