Since most of the problems we have had with RC0 stem from people having
difficulties with PEAR, it would be best if we discuss what the best
solution would be.

PEAR is in a transition period. When they are finished implementing their
standards and it ships with the latest PHP version, many of our problems
will disappear. Until then, what is the best course of action?
