[Phpwebsite-developers] Update update

Greetings all,

Things are full speed ahead on the new core. All the guys here are on
full-time status, so progress *= 4. Take a look at CVS and go into the mod
directory. Most of the work should is apparent in this location.

The install/upgrade/uninstall module is about 50% finished (it installs).
Once done, we will release a new tarball. This tarball will be a HUGE
improvement over the last release. I believe once the I/U/U module is
done, we should be able to have regular updates so everyone can follow
along on releases automatically without CVS checkouts. BTW I have not
tried a CVS checkout lately so I can't presume it will function properly.
Please wait for the tarball.

One last thing I would like to touch on. We hope that by expanding the
functionality of phpwebsite will allow more platforms to use it. Because
we can't supply technical support for all platforms, I would be interested
if anyone would like to become a platform specialist. Basically, you would
volunteer to field questions about a particular OS, DB, or web server
setup and help those who are having problems. In exchange, you would be
the contact point for fixes in the program. This person should be
knowledgeable enough to offer suggestions in php code. Please contact
Brian (br...@tu...) or I if interested.
