Ok everyone; I added a new module to cvs. The module name is Hub-It. If anyone wants to test it out, give it a shot. I would like to have a stable copy and call it 1.0 when the next version of phpwebsite comes out. It will be in mods directory with calendar. Please no feature request until 1.0, just bugs. I need to get a stable version out first. The Hub-It module does the following. It gets any RDF and some XML feeds. It gets new phpwebsite RDF 1.0 feed which include descriptions of articles and times. It gets other Hub-It feeds. All feeds are stored in the database including cache. Admin may put any feed anywhere on his page. He may also put them on multiple sides at once. All feeds that include descriptions will have the option to see the descriptions of the feed items. An index of all feeds may be seen with the admin deciding how many per columns of feeds. The new hub options let you create hub feeds that then allow other Hub-It sites to get central feeds with all the content. Over all what this allows you to do is create a large collection of phpwebsites together and have announcement content at the opening site. Everything will be tree structured like most large sites with different departments, like us at ASU. Anyway for the people who have not seen the now module installer & uninstaller than take a look it works with it. It also works with the now plug_check code. You can now put modules on the left, top center, middle center, bottom center, right, or in any of the combinations. -- Jeremy Agee phpWebSite Development Team (http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu) Appalachian State University phpEasyAdmin (http://easyadmin.sourceforge.net) |
