This is the way I was thinking about.
I thinks there shouldn't be any performance loss doing that, but I'll do
lots of testing to be sure.
Having a web-server writable config.php at run-time is both dangerous
and bad ^_-

xxxNuke modules are always overhelmed with lots feature which are rarely
used and also have some most-wanted features, but they are really
bad-written. I was thinking my download modules as a small,efficient
module with a limited set of features (at least in its initilial
release).

What about writing about a "wish-list" of the future downloads module?
Any suggestion, wish, etc.etc. will be largely appreciated!
