I dont know if someone else has made the suggestion, but have a look at the
R2 specs for BinaryCloud

Some good ideas are being discussed, and im anxious to see how they are
implemented. At the very least, their archictectural model can serve as an
example we can borrow from. i especially like the idea of "managers".
