I'm sure all of the above is true.

But, my concern is quite simple: If I add a Python plug-in to phpWebSite,
then anyone who wants to use the plug-in has to have Python on their server
in addition to PHP.

I think it is counterproductive to pile on additional requirements for using
phpWebSite.

I wonder how we can find out whether many php servers also have Python
installed?

I'm sure Mailman is great, but ...
