[Phpwebsite-developers] ADODB or PEAR or something?

The first item on the list I'd like to discuss once we decide how and when 
we have a meeting would be if we want to use ADODB, PEAR or something else 
if there is anything else to use.  

I've just looked at a few apps written with ADODB and it looks pretty good 
to me.  From developing a intranet site with ASP and looking at the 
functions ADODB uses, it looks easy to pick up and be able to use.

The real debate is if we use either of them we'd have to also distribute 
them with our distribution and we'd have to make sure we stay current with 
any bugfixes they do to either of the systems.  

Anyone else want to give input on this??
