I've been testing on a local box (apache 1.3.12, mod-php4.0.4pl1,mysql3.23.21b, win95)
database settings work properly, But "create new page" is broken, it says the new page is saved
but after all steps are completed w/o any error messages, the new page is completely blank... when returning to edit... all data is present in form inputs... go figure.

Testing set up on a remote host (Apache/1.3.14 (Unix) mod_macro/1.1.1 PHP/4.0.4pl1,mysql3.23.32)
I have two db's as specified, BUT $phpscheduler_db is not being intialized properly, and index.php breaks with "1146 Table "mydb1.stories" does not exist... funny thing is "mydb1" is the value given to $phpscheduler_db and not $dbname, as it should be. If I assign $phpscheduler_db with the value given to $dbname, then parsing proceeds further but breaks in "./include/db_open.php" and spits out=> Couldn't edit record. Please contact the systems administrator. I was sent: select title, starttime, event_id from events where event_date = '20010131' order by starttime and tried to send . Connection was Resource id #1.

This is a problem on account of developing phpScheduler separately from phpWebSite. They have separate configs and I think this might be causing the problem. I will look at the setups and see if we can merge this material properly.

I am having the same page editing problem on the same system config, save redhat linux.

We are planning to better merge the calendar and the web content tools - look for this in a future release. If someone has already done so, please let us know.

I have talked to this with Brian and we are in agreement to combining the databases. He said that a user took the initiative to do it themselves (hurray!!). If not, my main goal is to have this completed this week.

Good news. W.D.Sumilang submitted an update that joins the two databases. I have tested it and it works fine. There will be a new tarball with an updated full sql dump along with his modified sql dump that fixes the current users' database.

Ok and update. Someone said they were having problems with the update for the switch to one database. So, I went through the calendar and made some big changes. The new system release will contain ONE database, ONE config.php, and ONE mainfile.php. All my functions and set-up are entered in a more plug-in type fashion. The downside is that Jagee's translates have to be redone, but since I did the damage, I'll fix it :)
