phpwsRSSFeeds 0.4.0 Released!

phpwsRSSFeeds is a module for the phpWebSite CMS 0.9.3-1 or higher. It gives the ability to display syndicated news feeds. The module is built on the PEAR XML_RSS Parser.

This release has not yet been shipped with phpWebSite.

New in this version is the ability to create date aggregated feeds.

Resource Description Framework (RDF) Site Summary (RSS) documents are XML documents, that provide a lightweight multipurpose extensible metadata description and syndication format. RSS files are often used to syndicate news or headlines from portal sites (e.g. Slashdot or freshmeat.net) or weblogs.

Current features of phpwsRSSFeeds include the ability to show a list of headlines in a block or the full summaries on any page. Create Multi-View pages where multiple feeds can be displayed on a single page in a nicely layed out format. Create local site feeds for Calendar, Announcements and more. phpwsRSSFeeds supports all existing RSS schemas.
