#21 Expanded import from module feature
I would personally love to see the ability to import
text from the RSS feeds module the same way that you
currently have set up for importing announcements or
web pages. The reason being that when importing from
announcements you can access only one announcement per
message. If you were able to import from the RSS
module, you could import all of your announcements or a
series of documents all at once into the same mailing
list message by first setting up those items as a local
RSS feed.
The reason for needing such a feature is to be able to
easily forward a daily list of current announcements
(or new documents, or any other things that the RSS
feed mod allows you to monitor) to all the members of a
list. An exmple of what I am talking about is at our
school web site: bobcat.w-dubuque.k12.ia.us. If you
click on the "Daily Announcements" link it takes you to
an RSS feed page listing all current announcements. I
want to be able to import this list directly into a
mailing list message for distribution on a daily basis.
I am not a programmer, but I wonder if it would be a
fairly simple edit or hack to allow the output from the
RSSFeeds mod to be imported in leu of the current
announcements data as I have described?
