Hello translators. There is still some work that needs to be done, before we are ready to release the next version of phpWebSite (0.10.3). In the meantime you should consider updating your language files, particularly if you are in charge of one of the translations (de/es/fr/it/nl/no). From version 0.10.2 to the upcoming version 0.10.3 there has been added new phrases, and other phrases has been changed, mainly due to new functionality and face lift related adjustments. Until now, I have recorded the following changes: Analysing announce.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "Announcement Image Settings" Missing in Danish file: "Maximum allowed upload height (pixels)" Missing in Danish file: "Maximum allowed upload size (bytes)" Missing in Danish file: "Maximum allowed upload width (pixels)" Missing in Danish file: "Resized image maximum height" Missing in Danish file: "Resized image maximum width" Missing in Danish file: "Thumbnail maximum height" Missing in Danish file: "Thumbnail maximum width" Missing in Danish file: "Use image auto-resize" Language file announce.da.lng created with 115 phrases (9 missing translations in Danish file) Analysing blockmaker.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "(Boxstyle must support footer)" Missing in Danish file: "(Only home selected by default)" Missing in Danish file: "Block Footer" Missing in Danish file: "Show Block on these web pages" Missing in Danish file: "Show block with these modules" Language file blockmaker.da.lng created with 54 phrases (5 missing translations in Danish file) Analysing documents.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "Downloads" Language file documents.da.lng created with 100 phrases (1 missing translations in Danish file) Analysing linkman.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "(Comma Separated)" Missing in Danish file: "Keywords" Language file linkman.da.lng created with 62 phrases (2 missing translations in Danish file) Analysing menuman.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "Show Menu on these web pages" Language file menuman.da.lng created with 135 phrases (1 missing translations in Danish file) Analysing photoalbum.da.lng Missing in Danish file: "Move image to album" Missing in Danish file: "Set as album thumbnail image" Language file photoalbum.da.lng created with 110 phrases (2 missing translations in Danish file) Total number of language files: 28 Total number of phrases: 2449 Total number of missing translations (in Danish files): 22 I have developed a program I use to keep track of new phrases compared to the Danish translation. If you are interested, I would like to run your language files through my program, and produce a list of missing phrases. I have a couple of things I would like to mention regarding translations in general. As you might know, the official language files (*.en.lng) are not complete. Some phrases are missing, and if you are starting from those files creating your own translation, you will probably discover that the translation is not complete. Besides missing phrases, the language files also contain a bunch of phrases that are not in use any more. There are a lot of bug reports regarding the language files. I will try to look into some of them, but I am not sure, how much work I should put into this. Eventually a brand new translation system will be released with Fallout, so all our problems are going to be solved as if by magic :-) - Michael (TechElephant) |

It's great that blindman1311 has created a module for phpWebSite Anyhow, my knoppix wiki hacking was part of a larger idea that I have been thinking about for some time. It would be useful to have a phpWebSite CD. So I have thrown out some ideas here on a Live CD project. Yeah and I'd like the pain and glory to lead the project. ;-) So pipe up with any idea and issues please. Greg Specifications Like the demo app at phpWebSite. Everyone, Was this issue brought up in the phpwsbb or xwysiwyg trackers? -----Forwarded Message----- From: sweet leaf <vd...@us...> To: mh...@us... Cc: vd...@us... Subject: phpwsbb setID error Date: Sun, 01 May 2005 08:51:17 -0700 Message body follows: Hello Mike, To start let me say that I have searched the main help and module forums on the main sourceforge phpws site. I also searched the forums on the phpwsbb project page as well as on the phpws home page (app state). As far as I can tell, at least 3 people have the following problem but no solution. I posted on the phpwsbb forum, but no rsponses as yet. http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2965253 http://www.phpwsforums.com/showthread.php?t=1169 When replying to a post or starting a new topic, the following error is given: Warning: Missing argument 2 for setid() in /home/bullmoos/www/www/core/EZform.php on line 198 (note that 'bullmoos' is specific for my web host). The reply/new topic goes through fine, but I really want to get rid of the error. Hello all, I'm putting the finishing touches on the new 0.2.0 version of my Wiki module for phpWebSite. It has several new features, including: * BBCode support * Extended character support * Image Upload * Page "locks" from editing * All registered users can edit pages option * and other fixes. Because of all these changes, I am hoping to find a few people willing to help test the module before I release it. If you want to help out, just check out the module from the -comm CVS (under modules/wiki), install and test the module, and give me some feedback on how it went. Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks for your help, and contact me if you have any questions. Greg Meiste "blindman1344" |

Everyone, Greg Meiste kindly created a wiki module, so I think we should consider using our own dog food. Proposed structure for our website: phpWebSite hub: Core only Branch sites: Article, phpwsrssfeeds, Wiki, etc. (each module should have a separate branch site where it is installed). This will leave the hub clean, and facilitate easy upgrades of the modules. Themes: contained in a single branch site install. Migration of MediaWiki content to phpWS wiki would occur in a fashion similar to the process used in Moin -> MediaWiki. As always comments and suggestions are welcome. -- Mike Noyes <mhnoyes at users.sourceforge.net> http://sourceforge.net/users/mhnoyes/ SF.net Projects: ffl, leaf, phpwebsite, phpwebsite-comm, sitedocs |

Hello all, Some of you have already heard that I am in the process of writing a Wiki module for phpWebSite. I have the basics already complete. Then main thing the module needs right now is testers. I would like to have a few people take it for a test drive before I release it into the wild. The module can currently be found in phpWebSite-comm's CVS on sf.net. It is located in the modules/wiki directory in the repository. If you want to help test it, grab it from CVS and then follow the installation instructions located in docs/INSTALL. If you find some bugs and/or would like to make a feature request, please file a report at: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=browse&group_id=81360&atid=716466 You can send me an email (bli...@us...) or harass me via IRC on #phpwebsite (blindman1344) if you have any questions or comments about the module. Thanks for your time! Greg Meiste |

Hello everyone, After a full day of fighting with a bug in MoinMoin that made it nearly impossible to setup permissions for the wiki, setup is complete. You can find the wiki on http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/wiki For those of you who have not been a part of our ongoing discussions, this wiki is mainly for developers, testers, managers and other involved community members to discuss and refine the direction of phpWebSite. Really it can be used for any purpose, so long as it has relevance to phpWebSite or related project. To use the wiki, simply sign up for an account. Easy to do, try to use the wiki convention of FirstnameLastname. Ask someone already on the UserGroup page to add you to this page so you will have editing rights. http://phpwebsite-comm.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/UserGroup Feel free to email the list, myself at wendall911 [at] users.sf.net or Mike Noyes at mhnoyes [at] users.sf.net if you need assistance, or drop by our IRC channel on irc.freenode.net #phpwebsite and we can help you out. Maybe Kenneth can make an announcement for this at phpwebsite.appstate.edu and news could be posted on the relevant sf.net project pages. I don't know if this is necessary however, I'll leave that up to someone else. Wendall |

I just got 0.10.0 installed on my system, and had some issues with phpwsrssfeeds that I worked through. I can now work on getting these modules up to level. I'll release them when they are completed. -Tony -- Hometown Enterprises Internet Services Professional, affordable web design and hosting. http://www.hteis.com/ |

If you're doing version number checks with simple operators, 0.10 is less than 0.93 so fails. You need to change to using the php version_compare() function. See http://uk.php.net/manual/en/function.version-compare.php and also many of the modules already in v0.10 This was warned about shortly before 0.10 came out but we're still mopping up the modules for those that missed the discussion on irc or on the dev mail list.
