Initial Comment:
I'm trying to get phpWS to allow email addresses as
usernames.

I use an affiliate software package that uses email
addresses as usernames to track purchases, etc; phpWS
as you know doesn't allow that by default. Is there a
way to change the registration and validation process
to allow email addresses as usernames so I don't have
to issue multiple usernames to my affiliates?

This way I can automatically create a duplicate account
in phpWS so the user can use the same info to access
both the affiliate software and phpWS.
